Dance Lovers Magazine

It began in 1924 as a “publishing experiment.” Oct. 1925 completed 2 years and publishers stated, “We believe we know what they want in the only magazine which devotes itself entirely to the interests of the dance." The December 1925 issue, was published as The Dance Magazine. This magazine was the backbone of dance news and communications for over 90 years. In recent years it became more ad and less news. The last issue was published in 2021 (?) Collection includes some but not all issues for years 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1938.

The American Dancer Magazine,

published in Los Angeles, began in 1927. It expanded the focus to include Stage, Film, Music and other performing arts. Collection includes some but not all issues for years 1927, thru 1934.
